The concept of building a fully functional studio for global events and broadcasts was birthed out of our clients’ needs during covid. We quickly realized, however, that this space could deliver on virtual demands far into the future. By creating a virtual event studio in Dallas, we could provide clients with professional broadcast solutions for everything from smaller live streams (URL) to hybrid large-scale events (IRL). It was one part luck, one part destiny that The Event Nerd ended up epically situated in the heart of Deep Ellum.

When it came to picking the perfect location for our broadcast and virtual event studio in Dallas, we knew that culture and convenience counted, so we set out to find where those two converged. Whether you’re DFW-based or a quick and easy flight away (from literally anywhere in the US), when you get here, you’ll probably never want to leave.
Our ‘Dopeness Control Center’ is situated in a space that is near and dear to us. For 15 years, Life in Deep Ellum has served as a cultural center built for the community in one of the most historic neighborhoods in the city, a neighborhood that originally served as one of the nation’s Freedmen’s towns. As a company utterly obsessed with authentic connection and telling important stories – this was the spot for us. There were no ifs, ands, or buts about it.

LIVE FROM THE STUDIO…
One case study for an incredible use of our studio space was our work with the national salon-product distributor and cosmetology continued-educator CosmoProf (formerly known as Sally Beauty). The multi-day ‘World of Texture’ virtual event in Dallas perfectly showcased what our studio and team are made of. First, we designed and built an on-site set complete with styling stations and a miniature storefront to set the scene. Once complete, we directed, filmed, and live-broadcasted the virtual event straight from our studio to thousands of attendees nationwide. That, my friends, is no small feat.
